Texas Leadership Family:
Parents, Students, and Staff
We want to thank our parents and guardians for reaching out to let us know about the number of you who are experiencing power outages and rolling blackouts. We are aware of and tracking the information coming in from ERCOT, AEP and local Electric Providers.
Having the additional input from our families helps us in providing guidance and support.
You should have received an email from us yesterday regarding the virtual learning plan for Tuesday and Wednesday (02/16/21 and 02/17/21). We acknowledge that if you are a family without power then there is little to no way your student would be able to complete lessons.
If you are a family affected, we encourage you to please send a message to your student’s teacher alerting them. From there, we encourage students to spend time catching up on what they are able to. Some of those areas may be: catching up on missing work, reading, practicing math facts, reviewing sight words, etc.
More than anything we want you to stay safe and warm and know that we are thinking of you. Please reach out to your student’s Principal if there is anything that we can help with.
Thank you,
Ron Ledbetter
Texas Leadership Superintendent
