Thank you for taking the time to respond and provide feedback regarding pick up and drop off at the Elementary & Junior High building.
The District has moved forward with making our first change to traffic flow beginning Monday, October 23rd. The change will be to K-2 Drop-off and Pick-up inside of our parking lot in an attempt to reduce vehicles on Howe street. Please read the attached map and check out our video for reference.
In response to your comments, we have increased presence of the San Angelo Police Department on Howe and TLC Way. We are also working to increase our staff and volunteer presence to alleviate traffic jams and issues. Additionally, we are in final discussions with the City of San Angelo – City Council to present a major change to traffic in the coming weeks.
Your input regarding traffic flow, cross-walks, and flashing beacons have been greatly appreciated. In direct response to feedback, we have worked with The Life Church to adjust lighting in our outdoor spaces to increase safety during hours of darkness.
